Aspects Academy is conveniently located in the heart of Colchester city centre, housed within one of the city’s longest-standing beauty salons, Aspects MediSpa.
Our training is conducted in a fully equipped, purpose-built space, ensuring the highest standards of education and treatment are met.
Aspects Academy is an approved centre for delivering both accredited courses and government recognised qualifications.
Structure:
Upon booking you will be given access to our Online Student Portal, where you will complete your pre-course learning prior to attending the academy. You will attend for a full day (10am – 4pm) of training. The course is a mix of theory and hands-on practical. After a recap of the theory the tutor will perform a demonstration then students will perform their practical treatment. There are no exams or case studies required, your competence is assessed by the tutor throughout the training day.
Models:
No models are required for this course. Students will work upon each other to give & receive treatments. If you have any contra-indications that prevent you from having a treatment you will need to contact the academy and arrange your own model.

No kit is included in the course fee. All products / tools required to complete this course as provided at the centre for your use on the training day. Guidance will be given on the day by the tutor about products / suppliers we recommend.
This course is best suited for people already carrying out facial treatments and looking to add an additional facial treatment.

Many insurers will require you to have completed an OFQUAL regulated facial qualification to enable them to provide cover to deliver these advanced treatments.
The requirements to cover you for advanced facial treatments can vary by insurer, so we suggest confirming these with your chosen insurer before booking your training.

Our Chemical Peel Course is an intensive advanced facial skincare training course that will teach you to deliver these in-demand treatments with confidence.
As huge innovations within skin technology and products are made, making these treatments more effective but also more comfortable on client’s skin; skin peels are seeing a huge revival in popularity. Skin peels, often known also as ‘chemical’ peels work to exfoliate the skin and remove dead skin cells using specialised products applied topically to the skin. Many different types of natural acids are used in these treatments, with the peel being superficial in nature and while deeply exfoliating and rejuvenating for the surface of the skin, peeling is no longer observed using modern skin peel products. On this course you will work with products including glycolic, lactic, and salicylic acid; learning to mix peels and use pre-mixed products. You will be taught how to confidently combine skin peels to address different skincare concerns and conditions, using facial peels to extend the efficacy of your existing facial treatments.
