Course Information

Structure 
This qualification is completed entirely online, with NO attendance at the training centre. The course will include one, 2 hours Teams session per month with your tutor. You will complete written assignments for 4 units in total.

Health and Safety in a Salon Environment
Infection Control and Prevention for Cosmetic, Aesthetic and Needle Related Treatments
Principles of Skin Analysis and Client Consultation
Anatomy and Physiology for Aesthetic Practice
Pathology for Aesthetic Practice

These units will be assessed by assignment writing and will be marked by your tutor. There are no exams and no practical element to this course. On average this course will take up to 6 months to complete but could be completed sooner depending on ability.

Course information and entry criteria

This course is best suited to students looking to progress into a qualification in Aesthetic Practice, who have no previous experience or qualifications in a related sector. 
Students should be 16 years old and above and be able to work at a level 3 academic standard. 
This qualification is also suitable for students who have completed a CPD or accredited pathway, looking to upgrade to a regulated pathway for accessing aesthetic qualifications.
This qualification is an essential pre-requisite for students undertaking the ProQual Level 4,6 & 7 Aesthetic Practice-related qualifications.
Insurance requirements 
Many insurers will require you to have completed an OFQUAL regulated qualification to enable them to provide cover to deliver aesthetic treatments.
This qualification alone will not be enough for you to be insured to deliver aesthetic treatments as is only the entry qualification and has no practical element. 
The requirements to cover you for aesthetics can vary by insurer, so we suggest confirming these with your chosen insurer before booking your training

Aspects Academy is located within Colchester city centre. The Academy is found inside one Colchester’s longest running Beauty Salon’s Aspects MediSpa.

The nearest parking to the academy is –

St Johns multistorey carpark- Aspects Academy is less than 5 minute walk away
An alternative is St Marys- Aspects academy is an 8 minute walk away

Train stations –

Colchester Town station- This is a smaller station that trains from the main station connect to. Services may be limited.
Colchester North Station- This is the main train station and is about a 20 minute walk (buses to the town centre are available from the station as well as a taxi rank. Uber also is available in Colchester)

Bus Station –

Aspects academy is located opposite the main bus station.
