Aspects Academy is conveniently located in the heart of Colchester city centre, housed within one of the city’s longest-standing beauty salons, Aspects MediSpa.
Our training is conducted in a fully equipped, purpose-built space, ensuring the highest standards of education and treatment are met.
Aspects Academy is an approved centre for delivering both accredited courses and government recognised qualifications.
This course covers the underpinning theory knowledge and a video demonstration of the treatment.
To complete this course you will need to submit a case study to be reviewed by our assessors. The assessor will review your submission and they provide you with feedback. When they are satisfied with your submission your certificate will be emailed to you.
Insurance Requirements
Many insurers will require you to have completed an OFQUAL regulated facial qualification to enable them to provide cover to deliver these advanced treatments.
The requirements to cover you for advanced facial treatments can vary by insurer, so we suggest confirming these with your chosen insurer before booking your training.
Some insurers will only cover online courses is there is a practical element assessed by an assessor.

Dermaplaning is a deep exfoliation treatment that removes dead skin cells from the upper layer of the skin using a surgical scalpel. Dermaplaning is the only exfoliating procedure that also effectively removes the ‘peach fuzz’, in addition to the dead skin cells. This will ensure that the clients skin is left with a glowing skin finish.
Dermaplaning is a perfect alternative for clients that are unsuitable for more abrasive methods of exfoliation, like microdermabrasion. Dermaplaning can easily be added to most facial treatments to further enhance your clients skin and maximise their overall skin goals.
